CORE VALUES BUILD TRUST
The Office of Impact and Innovation team embraces three core values and invite you to embrace them as well. We put them in this order to make a snappy acronym, but they are equally important.
We are confident that when we ACT, we build an environment of trust, which is essential to fostering an innovation mindset. Let’s explore each of these values and some examples.
Accountability
Consistency
Transparency
Accountability
Despite what we see on social or professional media, successful innovators don’t succeed on their first try. In fact, most successful products and ideas you see are a result of a lot of attempts, revisions, and even failures. This is what the innovation process is about.
As we launch our first employee-centric experience, the Innovator’s Journey, we know that we’ll be accountable for the program’s “hits and misses.” While we are doing our best to design a seamless, wonderful experience, we know we’ll learn things along the way, too. This is part of the fun, and you can expect us to be accountable for ongoing improvements in every facet of the experience.
Consistency
You don’t have be consistently “right” or perfect during the innovation journey. But, you do need to show up consistently to learn. Are you committed to following-through with an open heart and open mind? When you consistently show up for your commitments, you’re likely to be trusted by your colleagues and partners.
Transparency
When we design and launch programs, we'll be as clear as possible on the program requirements and be generous in our feedback. For example, if you have an idea but it doesn’t quite meet our participation criteria, we’ll be sure to let you know and give you resources to help you focus your efforts.
With partners and community members, these same values hold true.
